Sakun Zanna

Born in Gomel of November 18, 1979. 1997 - finished Minsk secondary school ¹ 205. 1997-2002 - was studying at Byelorussian State Pedagogical University (Byelorussian Philology and Culture Department; speciality: "The Byelorussian Language and Literature, World and Native Culture"). Since 2002 - has worked as a methodologist in the Regional teaching and methodical center (department of work with children's and youth organizations).

Zanna has work experience in the public sector. Since 1997 she has been a member of public organization "Ìàëàäàÿ Ãðàìàäà". Since 2002 - a member of public association "Focus-Group".

Zanna has taken part in various educational programs, seminars, youth exchanges:

  • seminars on the theme: "Leadership" (February-April, 1999, Fredrick Ebert fund)
  • qualification improvement courses "Social and Pedagogical Methods and Technologies of Children's Associations Activity" (December, 2002, Academy for Post-Graduated Education);
  • summer school "Against Racism" (May, 2002, USOS Germany);
  • educational seminar-training "European Technologies, Public Relations and Geopolitical Prospect of Belarus" (August, 2002, European Formation Fund together with Westminster Foundation);
  • seminar "Programs of Civil Education in NGO Activity: Efficiency and Estimation" (April - October, 2003, Educational centre "Post", Centre of Social Innovations;
  • educational program "Work with the Youth in Germany: Social and Pedagogical Aspects" (May - June, 2003, Educational centre "Post");
  • training "Open Space" ( May, 2003);
  • Autumn school "Public Organizations of Latvia" (September, 2003, International Republican Institute)

Zanna has been experienced in trainer's activity. She participated in the development and realization of such educational programs, seminars for youth as:

  • summer school "Let's Organize for the Sake of Democracy" (September - December, 2003);
  • educational program for teenagers "Academy of the Rights and Opportunities" (April, 2003);
  • seminar "How to Avoid a Conflict?" within the framework of the summer camp "When you Become an Adult…" (August, 2003);
  • actions, devoted to the All-Europian Week of Struggle against Racism (March, 2003).
